Is a technique that will take over all textile printings...Before a textile had to be printed with stencils, one for each colour (silkscreen technique) and the designer had to think about pattern after how many colours it needed. As more colours as more expensive...
With digital printing, that works like a big printer, just a high-quality photo is needed and that gives huge possibilities.
CUSHION Little Robin
FOR TERRE DE PASTEL
With DESIGN HOUSE STOCKHOLM we did a cushion from one of my paintings THE LITTLE ROBIN. I have a lot of other paintings that could be transformed into cushions also!
With TERRE DE PASTEL we realized a very nice summer scarf in cotton and silk, 70x180cm. I had drawn the little pastel flower in different styles, that I the composed en stripes in different nuances of pastel-blue.
CLOTHS WITH DIGITALPRINTS
I will soon start to use my paintings for my clothes collections, to do tunics, dresses and scarfs in silk. That will be a nice challenge.
To these digital textiles could be added handprinted images and texts.
I realized my first INTERIOR DESIGN project in 2016 at IVA in Stockholm with digital prints transformed into stickers, that we attached directly to the wall.
It was just great! So simple and it looked so good (But quite complicated to do the originals on Ai)
