"BEYOND THE VEIL"
"Behind the sail"
I was thrilled to return to Japan this spring to exhibit at GALLERY ARTISLON in Kyoto, from April 29 to May 4, 2025. There, I presented an installation of shades of blue, combining prints and indigo-tinted paint. The first sails were denser, adorned with numerous images, while the last were almost white. The aim was to create an impression of transition from density to lightness, to light... towards the invisible. With the wind, the sails moved slowly, like a gentle breath.
I also exhibited my eco-dyed clothing and scarves: kimonos and tunics that appealed to the Japanese public, who are fond of delicate, personal and artistic creations.
We finished with a violin and guitar concert featuring the young Japanese violinist Aoi Furukawa and the flamenco guitarist Jean-Pascal Amigues.
It was extraordinarily beautiful! Aoi wore one of my blue dresses, in my blue setup...💙
The last photo shows me and my gallery owner Ms. Kuroki wearing my dresses!
