For the first time, I combined pastel and indigo dyes on cotton with serigraphs and ink drawings.

I used images to transmit calm and harmony, as also texts and many nature inspired images.

SILK CREATIONS

 

For this exhibition, I experimented with different techniques for printing on silk. I use nori, a Japanese rice paste that I print on the fabric to protect areas that will remain white after dyeing.  I also print with konnyako mixed with ink. With these techniques, I can obtain images that almost disappear or are barely visible, like shadows, or whatever I like to call them, like PRESENCES...
